We have a small studio condo on the beach. The sofa is 2' from the window AC unit, and you can't turn the AC off or you'll die of a heatstroke... but if you leave it on, it blows right on you and freezes you out. Most diverters are made for in-wall units vents (vs. window units), so I was thrilled when I found this... and even more thrilled that it actually WORKS LIKE A DREAM! When on the sofa, I point it towards the ceiling. When in bed (other side of the room), I completely lower it so all the air reaches me. It's super easy to adjust and put on/off (just tilt it up, slide in the metal arms into the vent, and lower it into place). It's made of a nice sturdy plastic. It came with adhesive foam panels, which I tossed... not sure what those are for (no directions). This works perfectly. BUY WITH CONFIDENCE!
