Here are some key reminders on how you should care for your air plants. WATERING Combine misting and soaking for the best result. When watering, completely drench your air plants in water for 20-30 minutes. Do this 1-2 times per week. If you live in a dry, hot climate, mist them a couples of times in between. SUNLIGHT Air plants grow best in bright indirect or filtered light April through October. Early morning or later evening direct sun is OK in mild environments. They can typically handle more direct sun November through March. TEMPERATURE Air plants can be kept outdoors year round if protected from frost. They are not frost-hardy and should be brought inside when it is below 40F. Optimum temperature range for air plants to thrive is between 50 and 90 degrees F. FERTILIZER Air plants can survive without fertilizer, though a plant benefiting from a fertilizer regimen will grow, bloom, and produce offsets (pups) more vigorously. A Bromeliad or Tillandsia fertilizer should be used 2 times per month at ¼ strength. FAQ Q. How do you choose your plants? Each month, our team will handpick a unique air plant for you. Product Features

Tillandsia Fasciculata is known as the “Giant Air Plant,” or “Cardinal Air Plant”. It grows naturally in oak hammocks, cypress swamps, and pinelands. They can usually be found growing on tree trunks in the rain forest in sunny spots.

It has a very distinct and gorgeous bloom spike which lasts longer than most air plants bloom phases. It blooms from 10-50 floral bracts of yellow and reddish-orange colors.

It loves light but avoid keeping it in direct sunlight. Overexposure can cause burning and browning of its leaves. You can place the plant near a window or an alcove to provide it with some shaded light.

No soil is needed. Sand, sea glass, rocks, pebbles & bark chips can be used instead of soil.

Water them daily in the hot season and every 2-3 days in the cold season.
