This is my 3rd iPad and 1st screen protecter. I did a stupid amount of research on protectors and didn't learn about Power Support till someone mentioned it on an iPad forum. From there I discovered numerous technically oriented owners raving about the product. For me, it was a matter of protecting the iPad cause I tend to keep them for about a year and then sell it to buy the new model. AppleCare was more than I cared to shell out yet something was needed to protect the unit from inevitable wear. Now the pad is completely encased in protective covering and there are relatively few trade offs. First, it's a bit heavier but the case is so light that the effect ends up giving the unit a bit of heft which, as light as the iPad Air is, is not a problem. As far as the screen film goes it really wasn't a big deal. I have an electrostatic air cleaner which I moved into the bathroom. Started the shower for a bit of humidity and went for it. I took a 6" piece of packing tape, stuck it to the top (opposite the home button) then folded the remaining sticky surface over itself. The result was a non stick surface to butt the film to in order to position it. I have No dust under the film, it's completely clear. With the film applied I notice a slight reduction when viewing off center or tilted. You can compensate by simply turning up the brightness a bit. The surface does not have the plastic feel of the air, much closer to the older models.All things being equal, I'm quite pleased and am now sure that when I peel it out of the case to sell it the pad will look absolutely brand new. You probably spent $600+ for your iPad, don't cheap out now the extra few bucks you spend will result in a protection system that you'll soon forget is even on there.
