This item should be replaced every two years, or when the display says "Replace RCI Cell" which ever comes first. This new RCI Cell utilizes the Honeycomb Matrix Catalytic Target and will work in your Ecoquest/Vollara Fresh Air 2.0 or 2.1. The RCI Cell includes a powerful UVX Bulb, which is simple to replace and has a long life expectancy. Every cell is pre-tested prior to shipment.

I installed it early August 2019, and about 90 days running and it is running fine. I can see the blue glow through the vents. It was easy to install in my Ecoquest Fresh Air 2.0 by simply removing the back just as you do to service it for cleaning it's ozone plates. The connector and mounting all matched my original, but I did have to slightly bend the metal tabs to match the angle of the OEM RCI unit. Otherwise it looks nearly identical to the OEM unit.
