This is a great book for any aviation enthusiast, no matter how well-versed they are in the history of aerial warfare. The maps tell more about the various wars and conflicts than any number of words ever could. From the first powered flight by the Wright Brothers in 1903 ( A struggle in itself ) to the U.S-led invasion of Iraq 100 years later. Most impressive are the 3-D maps that show the various formations in which the aircraft flew as well as the maneuvers fighter aircraft used in dogfights from World War I to the present; Even including a map of the devestation caused by the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. I, myself enjoyed looking at the maps through a magnifying glass where even more detail can be seen.
